Fantastic detailed fibreglass globe delivered to TUI Cruises cruise ship "Mein Schiff II"

In cooperation with the company Danish Decoration, The Figure Factory has delivered some solid "ship art."

A fibre glass globe which is produced based on detailed satellite images as a three-dimensional display of the seabed contours and surfaces.

Unlike a normal globe, the focus is not on the land areas, but on how the seabed looks like underwater.

The collaboration with Danish Decoration has been a real pleasure, and the cooperation have opened up new opportunities to deliver custom made fiberglass creations to luxury cruise ships.

New danish niche cooperation.

Henrik Graahede from Danish Decoration puts it this way:
"Danish Decoration from Aalborg, in conjunction with Figure factory supplied and fitted thi amazing fibre glass globe.

The project was part of a major rebuilding that Danish Decoration did for TUI Cruises, the cruise ship "Mein Schiff II", was rebuilt at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany.

The globe was part of an almost completely renovated''Meerleben''area. The restauration took 3 weeks.

From the start there was raised high demands on The Figure Factory tol deliver a product with respect to accuracy in recreating the globe in the right scale.

Danish Decoration can refer back that both architects and TUI Cruises were overwhelmingly satisfied with the outcome.

Claus B Hansen, who was project manager and is a part of ownership in Danish Decoration sees opportunities in this type of delivery in the future, and who knows if this could become a new niche in the exciting collaboration between Danish Decoration and Ibsen Factories / The Figure Factory.
